THE FALLS CHURCH HEALING PRAYER CLASS
Wednesday Evenings 6:50pm to 9:15pm
Sept 15th, 2010 Through March 30th, 2011

The purpose of this class is to educate people about Christian Healing Prayer and give them an opportunity to learn by practicing it. This will be the fifth year we have offered this course. The course is unique in that it uses selected material from all three of the major Christian Healing Prayer ministries; the MacNutts, Elijah House, and Theophostic, and shows how they all relate. Both beginners and the more experienced will benefit from this class.

The Fall semester will run from Wednesday September 15th through December 15th. It will cover foundations and overview and then look at types of healing and related aspects.
The Spring semester will run from January 5th to March 30st, 2011 and will cover major issues in Healing Prayer
The classes will feature selected videos from the three ministries, periods for discussion and sharing, and extended prayer time for each other in small groups.
The class is open to all Christians and there is no charge for it. However, pre-registration is required. Testimony: TO KNOW THE HEIGHT, WIDTH, LENGTH, AND DEPTH OF HIS LOVE
It became clear to me several months ago during the Healing Prayer Class at the Falls Church that divine healing is about so much more than Jesus healing physical sickness.
HE wants us to be whole and free to live a victorious life in HIM. To do that we need to get rid of debris that we have ALL acquired by things we have done, or have been done to us in life. HE can and does redeem our hurts/ pain from childhood, marriage, broken homes and relationships, illness and death, addictions, rebellion, anger and unforgiveness and virtually every other issue which leads to “bear burdens we were not meant to bear.”
The LORD used the Healing Prayer Class at the Falls Church to heal and reveal himself to me in so many ways. The examples below are but a few:

HE changed my distorted image of HIM, which was based principally on an image of my earthly father. I knew that God loved me, but I never thought he would be interested in the small things, the details of my life. In correcting that image HE has shown me that HE cares about everything that is going on in my life, sharing the joys and walking with me in the trials. I now know that I can turn to the Lord for guidance and direction for everything, not just crying out for HIM when I am in trouble.

For more than ten years since my father died I still harbored anger at him for not getting a colonoscopy which could have identified the colon cancer from which he died. I also carried guilt about being so focused on myself and my high powered DC career, that I was not there for him as much as I should have been in the last months of his life. Following the teaching on forgiveness of others, and ourselves, I asked the LORD to tell my father that I forgave him for leaving me and ask him to forgive me for not being there to support him as I should have been. That night I saw Jesus smiling in a dream, and he brought my father who sat up in his hospital bed with his arms outstretched to hug me. I know that he had forgiven me, and I could forgive myself. I know that the LORD lifted a great burden from my heart because he loves me.
- After my parents died (my mother died three years ago) I, as an only child, felt pretty abandoned and thought to the depths of my being that no one would/could ever love me like they did. I knew from the Healing Prayer Class that this was a wound that needed healing. A few months ago, the Lord led me to a cabinet full of photo albums, many of which had pictures of me as a baby, child, birthday parties etc. In all of them my parents were holding me, smiling at me, standing right beside me, each photo an unmistakable statement of how much they loved me. After about three hours of dwelling on the depth of their love for me, God spoke to my heart through the Holy Spirit. He said, all of that earthly love your parents have for you is so much less than MY love for you, which you can never truly fathom. He said "I am your Father, and I will NEVER leave or forsake you." HE healed that inner wound, and redeemed it with a permanent, deep inner knowledge of HIS love.
Take the Healing Prayer Class next semester (September). You will be blessed. As HE has said repeatedly in scripture, The LORD wants to heal you, make you whole, and set you free! He wants to help you get rid of bricks on your shoulders which have created a wall between you and HE, and impeded your ability to hear HIM. As you draw close to HIM, HE will draw close to you. To know without a doubt in your heart/soul/spirit that HE is with you and for you, will transform your life.
