We are a welcoming community called to be an enduring beacon of faith, hope, and love
How is The Falls Church Episcopal Responding?
God's message for God's people is one of hope and love. That message especially endures during these extraordinary days as we carefully and prayerfully respond to the Coronavirus pandemic. Entering the Historic Church, we step past the words of our powerful vision carved in granite and set in the front walkway as a reminder of who we are called to be. The fact that we cannot gather in our buildings these next few weeks is a powerful reminder that the church has always been so much more than buildings. The Church is Christ's Body. The Church is the people. And so as people of Christ, we will continue to be beacons of faith, hope, and love wherever we are and however we can. In this time our vision and mission endure - and through faith in God, Christ's light in us will shine even brighter for a world that needs it.
What is the status of the church?
We are not closed, but in-person services are suspended indefinitely. The church office is open but most staff are working from home. However, they are all available by email. Please see our Meet the Staff page for details on how to reach them individually.
Should you need pastoral support from our clergy you may email Father Andy or Rev Kelly or call the pastoral care emergency line on which you can leave a voicemail for the Priest on Call to get in touch with you. Please call (703) 828-5475.
In the weeks ahead as the impact of the novel coronavirus undoubtedly grows, we will be establishing a structured and organized network of keeping in touch with each other as the caring, pastoral people of God we are and responsible for one another as we journey together during these wilderness days.
