Lenten Retreat

Made in God's Image:
What LGBTQIA+ Faith Teaches All Of Us
A Lenten Retreat by Dr. Peter Carlson, Queer Theologian

Queer Theology is sometimes looked at with suspicion by everyday Christian folks, including some queer Christians. But queering our theology—our words or ideas about God—opens up creative space for questions rather than closes off space with strict answers. It encourages curiosity about everyone's varied experiences of the Divine. It asks us to think boldly about who we are as individuals who love Jesus and as a community that tries to live bravely in the world as members of what is, after all, a religion with some very queer ideas. Join us as we think about what Queer Theology offers the Church, and be welcomed into a space where everyone is invited to queer their ideas about God!
