The Rev’d Julius Rodriguez

The Reverend Julius Rodriguez is a seasoned leader with 20 years of experience in operations management, maritime compliance, and team development as a U.S. Coast Guard officer. She honed exceptional skills in strategic planning, safety oversight, and leading teams in high-pressure environments.

Born in Seoul, Korea, Julius grew up in California as a Korean American immigrant, and she is the first in her family to graduate from university and proudly represents a second-generation military tradition. She earned her psychobiology degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and followed her passion for service by joining the U.S. Coast Guard, where she forged a distinguished career.

After completing her military service, Julius followed God’s call to priestly ministry. She earned a Master of Divinity from the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas, and was ordained to the priesthood by the Bishop of Virginia in September 2022. Her ministry experience includes serving as school chaplain intern at St Andrew’s Episcopal School in Austin, the Lower School Chaplain at the National Cathedral School for Girls in Washington, D.C., and as Interim Associate Rector at Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia, camp chaplain at Shrine Mont summer camp.

Julius is deeply committed to exploring the intersection of religion, politics, and culture. She is an advocate for interfaith dialogue, creation care, and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in all areas of life and ministry.

Beyond her professional and spiritual pursuits, Julius embraces an active and vibrant lifestyle. She enjoys outdoor and culinary adventures with her family, CrossFit workouts with her teen son, as well as golf, yoga, and enthusiastically follows Formula 1 racing.
